Temagami (Ojibway for 'deep water') offers almost limitless opportunities, both water and dry land experiences for nature lovers. Located on the Canadian Shield, the region consists predominantly of evergreens. However, birch, maple, poplar and tamarack also grow in patches. Rock outcrops accent the coniferous dominated landscape exemplifying Temagami's rugged beauty.
Fishing is undeniably Temagami's biggest 'lure'. Fishermen come from all over the United States and Canada to fish the lake's crystal waters. Spring angling is always a Temagami highlight year after year for most anglers but don't count out the incredible summer and fall fishing let alone the winter lunkers of last year. Come and try to catch one of Lake Temagami's trophy fish: Lake Trout, Walleye, Pickerel, Small Mouth Bass, Pike and Whitefish all call Lake Temagami home.
